I hope that this forces people to have a discussion about that. The people who create and insist on this meta are the problem, not the design. I accept they are the minority, but don't assume that everyone is a sweaty min-maxer. So the question becomes: Why would someone run a key with people who keep you from getting benefit by default?įor the same reason that many people list "chill" Mythic+ groups and actively accept people not based on IO scores. But most people run their keys with some form of tool assistance. If you have a premade grp, you won't care. This only provides buffs if you chose "correctly" and we all know what this is inevitably going to lead to.Īt the start, this might not matter so much but once the MDI guys run Covenant specific grps through the dungeons, you can bet your a*s that more and more groups are going to require it. The thing is, Court offered buffs for ALL professions, not just a single one so no matter what you chose, you're gonna provide some form of buff. I've seen comparisons to Court of Stars with it's profession buffs. This system is gonna exclude people who didn't pick the "correct" covenant for a specific dungeon. Everyone flips out over the smallest stuff in this community and its unreal. People need to calm TF DOWN.All these covenant bonuses are small and have little impact but making something cool or fun in a single moment. 20% bonus damage is quite a big buff, but it only lasts for 10 seconds, meaning you'll have to make the best use out of it that you can. This player can then throw the Spear of Destiny at a location, hitting all enemies within 8 yards, stunning them and making them take 20% additional damage for 10 seconds.Īt the moment, it looks like there is only one Spear of Destiny on each side, meaning you'll only get one use of this ability throughout the dungeon unless you decide to clear both paths (which at the moment doesn't seem worth it). On each of these paths, the party can find a dead Kyrian on the ground.Ī player that is part of the Kyrian Covenant can interact with it and they will receive the Spear of Destiny. Thanks to on Twitter for letting me know about this bonus and Goozi on Discord for taking the pictures that are in this article.Īfter defeating the first boss in the Spires of Ascension, players can choose a left path or right path. A Covenant Bonus has been found in Spires of Ascension dungeon, allowing Kyrian players to pick up the Spear of Destiny! A Kyrian player throw the Spear of Destiny at a group of mobs, stunning them and making them take bonus damage for a period of time!
